The Holy Spirit At Work

Sometimes in today's world it's difficult
to believe that the Holy Spirit is still at work--
that He has not abandoned us.
Pope Francis recently added a few
updates to the Beatitudes which should
give us pause and confirm that indeed
the Spirit of God is guiding the world.
We only need to listen. . .

"Blessed are those who remain faithful while enduring evils
inflicted on them by others and forgive them from their heart.”
"Blessed are those who look into the eyes of the abandoned
and marginalized and show them their closeness.”
"Blessed are those who see God in every person
and strive to make others also discover him.”
"Blessed are those who protect and care for our common home.”
“Blessed are those who renounce their own comfort in order to help others.”
"Blessed are those who pray and work for full communion between Christians."

Honoring Dignity & Uplifting Eloquence

Today we said goodbye.

(And thanks to live coverage)

we saw once again two

people who brought honor

to the White House.

                     Thank You

Words from today give us pause as we ask once again:

               God bless America
                      Give us wisdom
                            Mend our flaws
                                     Heal our wounds

                                                                    AMEN

After The Rain

At twilight last night
the sky was happy with the rain
that fell over Southern California.

"Here the rain, like everything else,
suggests permanence and eternity."

Epiphany

On this day Christians

recall the story of the three

Kings and the gifts they

brought to honor the Christ Child.

Seems like an appropriate time for
this writer/photographer to honor
some of the literary publications &
editors I've worked with this past
year. Thank you! Through your efforts
and devotion you keep the literary
world alive.
