Story circa 1990
An American woman traveled to Port-au-Prince.
Her goal was to help students learn English.
At the Artisan Work Shop she learned how
students earned money for their schooling and
family needs:
Delicate cuts and tints of dried bananna leaf
helped create amazing cards. People here in
the States who saw the cards were amazed.
The cards brought in donations for a short time.
The generous woman who taught English died.
What happened to those Artisans?
That would be another story
from Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
