Today the world lost a friend.
Mary Oliver died at the age of 83.
Mary Oliver was a poet of nature, with language
that did more than celebrate--it taught us how
to live. Her voice will be missed.
I am indebted to Oliver and inspired by her
words on prayer being a "doorway/
into thanks and a silence in which/
another voice may speak. . ."
